How We Operate

[P1] works by selecting positive-impact nonprofit and open source game projects worthy of community support and then collaborates with volunteers to organize the volunteer workforce needed to complete such games.

Role Description

This is a remote volunteer role for a Game Programmer at [P1] Games. The Game Programmer will be responsible for coding the base engine of the game and implementing game features.

Responsibilities

As a volunteer Game Programmer, you have the flexibility to choose your own hours and set your own deadlines. Since we are a volunteer organization, you may choose the responsibilities you feel confident in at any given time:

– Writing clean and efficient code for game mechanics and features.

– Collaborating with designers and artists to bring game concepts to life.

– Debugging and resolving technical issues in the game.

– Integrating graphics, audio, and gameplay elements.

– Optimizing game performance for various platforms.

– Keeping up-to-date with the latest programming techniques and game development technologies.
